Wave stared at the ground below him. He was flying further and further away from his home. One of the humans signaled to another, and they flew down into a hangar. A fat human lured Wave into a cage and rolled it away.Wave saw a large enclosure full of other wolves. They were staring at him like he was crazy with frothmouth disease. The human put him in the enclosure with the other wolves. The wolves went screaming, saying ''wild wolf'' over and over again. A arctic wolf walked over to him.
''Hello,'' said the wolf. ''I am new here too. My name is Oak."
''I am Wave,'' replied Wave.Wave did not want to meet Oak.To him,Oak seemed like the soft type of wolf.Wave looked around the enclosure he was in.There was a waterfall, a small rocky mountain and a food pile.A group of wolves were gathered near the waterfall. They told him that there was a hole behind the waterfall and that he should go into the cave there.Wave did so. He stood back, leaped, and ran. He ran past the waterfall, saw the wall........and ran through.

snow wanderers:the lost region chapter 4
The night sky was so dark that it could lull an owl to sleep. There was no moon showing in the sky. Wave jumped onto the cliff to scout for enemies. His white fur stood on end. He had a feeling that something bad was going to happen. Suddenly, a rustle came from a bush and what seemed like the whole battlepack from the iunric vine* leaped out from some undergrowth. All the other wolves in Wave's pack woke up and leaped into action.
"Attack!'' shouted a group of wolves. A group of Wave's wolves tried to push a enemy off the cliff and ended up knocking a boulder off a heap of snow. It knocked Wave unconscious and pushed him off the mountain. Suddenly, what seemed like a wolf from Wave's pack leaped into midair and tried to attack him, but jumped back onto the mountain. Wave got tossed around because of the high winds. He ended up in a snowdrift far away from the mountain. When he woke up, he appeared to be moving . Wave looked down and saw that he was flying higher and higher into the air. He appeared to be on a strange object piloted by humans!

The Lost Region: Chapter 3
Snow flew outside of the pack's gathering den. In fact, the snow was flying so fiercely, you couldn't see your own paws. The wind sounded like a thousand wolves howling at the moon. It was one of the largest storms in wolf history; strange weather for the month before the moons of the heat bugs. Inside the den,Wave tried to calm down the pack. Their howling was too loud for Wave to hear his own thoughts, let alone his voice. Little did they know an enemy was hiding outdoors.
Wolfclaw stood outdoors, standing guard. His ears twitched as he heard some breathing. "Probably only a rabbit," said Wolfclaw aloud. Suddenly, huge paws took out Wolfclaw with a THUD.
"Do you hear that?' asked one of the wolves. "The storm is knocking on our doors!"
Outside, a bear was lumbering on large paws, creating a huge ruckus. As Wolfclaw awakened, he found himself sprawled on the ground. The entrance to the den was torn open, and there were screams coming from the inside of it. The bear had an expression of hunger on his face. He was heading for the pups when Wave leaped on the bear's back. The bear lifted his huge paw and knocked Wave off. Wave clattered to the ground. Wolfclaw bared his teeth as he stepped in as he took a lunge at the bear's neck. There was a splatter of blood and the bear stumbled to the ground. It lay still without a sound coming from its body. The wolves gathered around Wave and Wolfclaw and howled cheerfully. Wave and Wolfclaw turned to face each other and touched noses.

The Lost Region: Chapter 2
Wave hurtled down the mountain ridge, chasing a snow hare. The rest of his patrol followed, ready to cut off the hare from escape. The other wolves barked in excitement .The hare ran into a patch of snow and vanished.
"Hmmm , probably only a burrow," thought Wave. Then he spotted a stick falling into the snowbank. It immediately vanished with the snow hare. " Stay back," announced Wave. "The ice bridge has melted!" The wolves barked in disappointment.
The wolves immediately turned back, without any prey to eat.
Back at the wolf-region now, the hunters retired to their dens.
Leaf walked over to her brother. She could tell Wave was glum. His face looked like tears would burst out any moment. "Great news!" she said, "I am going to have pups! " Wave only grunted, for his mouth was full of snow.
As he walked to this den, he wondered if his pack would ever make it to the spring gatherings. His pack had not eaten in a week. Wave shifted around in his bedding, waiting for a dream to come to him. Suddenly, he felt the lure of sleep pull at him. He turned up at the old gathering place, the one that had been torn apart by men.
"Why am I here?" he shouted up at the sky. He floated into the air. Suddenly he ended up on the mountain ridge. He was floating high up into the air. Fire flashed at his eyes , and a huge lightning bolt hit the region.

The Lost Region: Chapter 1
Leaf tasted the air. For spring, it was very cold and snowy. The sky was a long stretch of white. The wind blew through her long, shiny grey fur.
"I feel like it will never be spring," Leaf thought. An expression of concern showed in her eyes.
Leaf was the female alpha of the wolf pack that lived on the top-stone. Her brother Wave, the male alpha , was nowhere in sight.
"I guess he is leading the mountain ridge hunting patrol," she thought.
A paw on Leaf's shoulder startled her. She turned around to see Wolfclaw, the healer, looking at her.
"It is time for your spring checkup," said Wolfclaw gleefully. Wolfclaw was a young, cheerful wolf.
Leaf padded into the healer's cave . She smelled the comforting aroma of herbs. Since last spring when the herbs were collected , Leaf felt a little larger. Almost ....heavier . Wolfclaw put an herb in her mouth and asked if it hurt.
"No," said Leaf. "What is the next test?"
Wolfclaw pressed his cheek against her stomach. Then he told her to lie down and stretch. The stretching was so difficult that Leaf felt as if she was going to burst.
"Great news," Wolfclaw told her. "You are going to have pups!"
